My role
illustrations
The problem
Kembang and United Culture were looking for collaborative merchandise for their open mic evening. They loved the idea of transforming their logos into mascots with a retro comic style that reflects the spirit of the event.
The solution
A series of illustrations featuring the mascots as the main focus. The companies can use these illustrations for caps, stickers, etc.
Results

‘Kembang’ means ‘flower’ in Indonesian, which became a clear and fitting inspiration for the design.
United Culture’s logo wasn’t fully established yet, but they preferred a cartoon version of Hanuman, a Buddhist deity.

Kembang already had a cartoon design they liked, so I adapted it into my own style for the illustrations.
United Culture’s design is inspired by Hanuman—not an exact replica, but I aimed to incorporate some of the most iconic details from his traditional attire. I didn’t want to add too many elements beyond the flower, as that would throw off the balance of the design. So, I focused on the most recognizable details that appeared consistently across multiple images.
